I. Objectives.

 - By the end of this lesson, students will be able to :

+/ Pronounce the words ending in |- ese| and |-ee| correctly in isolation and in context.

+/ Read the conversation between Phong and Nick then answer the questions.

+/ Know about the names of the countries by writing the names under the flags.

+/ Newwords: awesome, absolutely, accent

 II. Teaching aids.

- Teacher: Auxiliary boards, computer, projector.

- Students: Prepare the new words, practice pronouncing these words

PERIOD: 62 - GETTING STARTED “ How’s your summer camp?”
I. Objectives.
 - By the end of this lesson, students will be able to : 
+/ Pronounce the words ending in |- ese| and |-ee| correctly in isolation and in context.
+/ Read the conversation between Phong and Nick then answer the questions. 
+/ Know about the names of the countries by writing the names under the flags.
+/ Newwords: awesome, absolutely, accent

2. Checking the old lesson: 
3. New lesson:
* Warm up. (2’)To introduce the new lesson.
 - Write the unit title on the board 
“ How’s your summer camp?”.
 * Activity 1: 1. Listen and read.(21’)
- Ask Ss to look at the picture on page and answer the questions.
- Play the recording. Ss listen and underline the newwords. T writes the newwords on the board.
- Ask Ss to practice the newwords, and pay attention to the pronunciation.
- T shows each word and Ss read inchorus first, then call some ss read the words again.
- Ss work independently. Find a word/ phrase that means. Allow them to share their answers with their partners before 
discussing as a class.
- Ss read the conversation in pairs again the practice asking and answering the questions.
- T calls out some pairs to stand up and speak loudly.
- T listens and corrects if the Ss do wrongly.
* Activity 2. 2. Complete the sentences with words / phrases from the box.(8’)
- Ask Ss to underline these words/ phrases in the conversation and make sure they understand their meanings. 
- Ss work independently to complete the sentences. 
- Have them share their answers in pairs. Then elicit the answers from the whole class.
* Activity 3: 3. Put the names of the countries under their flags. (5’)
- Have Ss work in pairs/ groups to match the flags with the countries. 
- T checks.
4. Production. (5’)
- From groups of five or six. The first group to find all the countries wins. If possible, prepare a black and white world map on A3 paper or quickly draw a world map on the board. 
- Ask one student from the winning group to go to the board and mark the six countries so that other groups can see and check.
5. Home work. (3’)
- Learn by heart the newwords, and prepare the new lesson: A closer look 1: New words, do exercises given.
