Jack London was the famous American novels and short story writer. He was born in San Francisco, California in 1876. He quit school to become a sailor when he was fourteen. He was a self-taught student. He finished his high school and college education during six months. He led an adventurous but poor life. His viewpoint was in favour of the poor and socialism. 
He took a high place in American literature at the beginning of the century. The characters in Jack London’s books live a different life, a life of danger. In his stories, the heroes are afraid of nothing and no thing can stop them. People in his books never give up hope, they never stop fighting for life even when the end seems very near.
In 1916 he committed suicide because of despair of life and disillusion with American dream. He used an overdose of morphine and drowned himself in the sea. He was an adventurous novelist, a Socialist reformer and prominent socialist who often signed under the line “Yours for the Revolution, Jack London”

 Some people learn a second language easily. Other people have trouble learning a new language. How can you help yourself learn a new language, such as English? There are some ways to make learning English a little easier and more interesting. The first step is to feel positive about learning English. If you believe that you can learn, you will learn. Be patient. You don’t to have to understand everything all at once. It’s natural to make mistakes when you learn something new. We can learn from our mistakes. The second step is to practice your English. For example, write in the journal, or diary, everyday. You will get used to writing in English and you will feel more comfortable expressing your ideas in English. After several weeks, you will see that your writing is improving . In addition, you must speak English everyday. You can practice with your classmates outside class.
 The third step is to keep a record of your language learning. You can write this in your journal. After each class, think about what you did. Did you answer a question correctly? Did you understand something the teacher explained? Perhaps the lesson was difficult, but you tried to understand it.
 II. §oÆn v¨n thø 2 : 
 Last summer, Mary went to Ho Chi Minh city with her parents. Their flight lasted over twelve hours. They stayed in a big hotel. It was clean and comfortable.
 On the first day, they visited Nha Rong Port, Thong Nhat Palace and some other places of interest. On the second day, they visited Cu Chi Tunnels where they were amazed by hundreds of underground defense works used during the war. Finally, they went to Vinh Nghiem Pagoda and the Notre Dame Cathedral and they were interested in the special atmosphere and dignity there. After three days in Ho Chi Minh city, they went to Hue to visit some citadels there. They really enjoyed their stay in Vietnam
