- T asks Ss to do exercise 2 on page 51. Ss have to imagine that they are Lan and write a letter to her pen pal Donna in San Francisco, using the given information.
- Ss work individually (the whole class write a letter).
- T moves around and helps Ss if necessary.
- T asks some Ss to read aloud their letters and corrects the mistakes.
