3. Atittude: Students will be able to know how to spend time on watching TV and they will be interested in learning English more.
4. Abilities: Students improve their abilities of communicating, collaborating, thinking critically, self-studying, using languages.
5. Qualities: Students improve their qualities of being self – control, overcoming difficulties.

Knowledge: Students will be able to get some more lexical items related to television and practice to pronunce the sounds /θ/ and /ð/. + Vocabulary: stupid, entertaining, educational, schedule, comedy, channel. 2. Skills: Practice and develope lisening and speaking skills. 3. Atittude: Political thought and moral sence: Educate students to know how to spend time on watching TV and they will be interested in learning English more. 4. Abilities: Students can improve their abilities of communicating, collaborating, thinking critically, self-studying. 5. Activity 1: Vocabulary. * Matching ( Part 1 p. 8 ) - Ss look at the words / phrases in the box. - Match the pictures with the suitable words / phrases. - T models one. Picture 1. e : newsreader - T checks Ss’ understanding. - Ss work with their partners in their table in about 2 minutes. - Ss answers and writes on the board. - Ss listen to the tape and correct then repeat the words - Some students read again. - Ss correct then T corrects. * Gap - fill (Part 2 p. 8) - Ss choose one suitable word in the box to complete each description. - T models one. 1. weatherman - T checks Ss’ understanding. - Ss do individually then compare with their partners. - Ss answers by dividing the class into two groups. One by one students from each group comes to the board and writes one answer. T corrects, gives marks then praises the winners. * Group- working (Part 3 p. 8) - Ss practice the words: newsreader, weatherman, comedian, TV screen, sports programme, animal programme, TV schedule - T divides the whole class into 3 groups then gives each group two words. Ss discuss and give the descriptions then read aloud. - Models one. 1. newsreader: a person who reads news. - T checks Ss’ understanding. - Ss work in their groups in about 2 minutes. - Ss read aloud the descriptions then the others try to guess what words they are. Activity 2: Pronunciation /θ/ and /ð/. * Listen and repeat (Part 4 p. 8) - T models the sound / θ / and / ð / first then draws their attention to the difference in the pronunciation of the two words. - Ss listen and repeat the words. - T plays the recording twice. - Ss listen and repeat ( Chorus then individually) * Which words in Ex4 have /θ/and which have /ð/. Listen again and write them in the correct column. (Part 5 p.8) 1) T transfers the learning task. - T presents the tasks: ss work in pairs to write the words in the two appropriate boxes. 2) Ss perform the learning task. - Ss work in pairs to write the words in the two appropriate boxes. - T checks if they do it correctly. 3) Ss report result of the learning task. - Some pairs write their answers on the sub-board. - Other pairs give comment. 4) T assesses the learning task. - T checks and corrects. - T gives the keys. Activity 3: Tongue Twister (Part 6 p. 8) - T shows the poster with the sentence on the borad then runs through. - T gives the instructions: Listen and practice reading. You should pay attention to the sound /θ/ and /ð/. - T checks Ss’ understanding. - T plays the record twice, Ss just listen. - T plays the record again. - Ss listen and practice reading twice. - One good student practice reading. - T divides the class in to 3 groups. Ss practice in about 2 minutes then each group sends two students to take part in an competition. - Ss listen, give comments, correct, give marks then praises the winner. TV schedule: a book which gives you information on a Tv programme. Activity 2: Pronunciation /θ/, /ð/. * Listen and repeat (Part 4 p. 8) Which words in Ex4 have /θ/ and which have /ð/. They are talking about their plan. - Ss look at the poster which has the contents of the dialogue 1 on the board. - Ss read the dialogue then underline the question words. - Ss models one. - T checks Ss’ understanding. - Ss do individually. - T explains the use of “Question word”. * Gap - fill: (Part 2 p. 9) - Ss read the three conversation in the text book p. 9. - T gives the instructions: Use one of the question words in the box to complete the conversations. - The mornitor models one: 1. How often - T checks Ss’ understanding. - Ss do individually then compare with their partners. - Ss answers then corrects. * Complete the conversation: (Part 3 p. 10) - T shows the poster which has the contents of part 3 p. 61 on the board then runs through. - Ss complete the conversation about the Wingless Penguin with suitable words. - T models one: 1. Activity 2: Conjunctions - T gives some model sentences on the board. - Ss chorus then individually. - T explains the use of conjunctions: Some conjunctions such as: but, and, so, because, although, ... . They are used to connect words and ideas. * Gap - fill: ( Part 4 p. 10) - Ss work in groups of four to combine sentences, using conjunctions. - Ss go to the board and writes the correct form of the Adj. * Matching.
